Hotel Ashburton

We had a comfy King-sized bed, with plenty of room around the bed that didn't impact on the rest of the room, we also had room for our luggage without it being a trip hazard when trying to access your clothes etc. The bathroom facilities were very good, and you always remember a good shower, and our shower was great. You also remember if the place you stay in is clean and we were very pleased to see that our room and bathroom were very clean, but also the entire complex was at the same high standard. All the staff seemed to be very proud of the Hotel, and this showed in their friendly caring treatment to us. My wife and I really enjoyed our evening dinner, the other guests also seemed very happy and raved about their meal to us, which was great free advertising, and our waitress was so nice and helpful, it really did make our night.

As a 50y/o UK couple who are travelling on a grey gap year, we are first timers in NZ. This site is in a great location with an excellent on site restaurant. Good to explore further afield. . Double room was really clean, with enough space for two nights. This is a great site, highly recommended. Thanks

We were there when it had very cold days. The heat pump was never turned off. The bed was comfortable and the shower was OK. Receptionist made a great pot of tea. We had breakfast each day which set us up for the rest of the day.

We liked the room, good enough size for us. The bed was comfortable and we liked that it had a heated blanket and a heat pump for cold nights. The bathroom was good too.

Loved staying here!! So comfortable and the restaurant food is PHENOMENAL!!! Big shout out to the chefs. The pool is also fab, did some laps in the morning.
